KDIPA participated in the sixth ‘Annual Investment Meeting’

Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the sixth ‘Annual Investment Meeting’ (AIM) held at the Dubai World Trade Center, United Arab Emirates, during 11-13 April, 2016, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The event, hosted by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Economy, was themed “The New World of FDI, Key Features and Best Practices”. H.E. Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy of UAE, gave a welcoming speech discussing the world economy and economic growth, the UAE’s economic policies and business environment, as well as the importance of attracting and encouraging foreign direct investment (FDI). Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum toured the AIM exhibition, where KDIPA participated among official delegations from over 140 countries around the world. KDIPA’s delegation represented the State of Kuwait, headed by Mr. Mohammed Yaqoub, Assistant Director General for Business Development, who welcomed interested investors, economic experts, and high ranking officials. KDIPA’s representatives presented the investment opportunities and the business environment in the State of Kuwait, and received inquiries concerning investing in Kuwait and Law No. 116 of 2013 regarding the Promotion of Direct Investment. This year marks the third year KDIPA participates in this annual event.
