KDIPA accompanies Prime Minister on official visit to Turkey

Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) accompanied His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on his official visit to Turkey, on September 14-16, 2017, where he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim in Turkey,

The Kuwaiti delegation included First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance H.E. Anas Al-Saleh, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of State for Youth Affairs H.E. Khaled Al-Roudhan, Head of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI)delegation Mr. Abdullah Al Humaidi, Deputy Foreign Minister H.E. Khaled Al-Jarallah along with several other senior governmental officials.

KDIPA was represented by its Director General, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, who was part of the selected delegation for this mission.

In line with the visits objectives, KDIPA Director General took part in the panel discussion in Turkey – Kuwait Business Forum that took place on September 15th 2017 and that brought together governments, senior economic decision makers along with business leaders from both countries to discuss further enhance investments between the two countries as well as the role of Kuwait’s private sector in boosting trade with Turkey.

This trip strengthened the bilateral relations between the countries, addressed issues of common interest and enhanced mutual cooperation in various fields especially in economy and investment. The two countries signed six agreements on security, civil aviation, communication, youth and Small and Medium-size Enterprises (SMEs), and a protocol to enhance double taxation.
