KDIPA co-organized a seminar promoting Kuwait to Chinese companies in the UAE

Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) co-organized a seminar for promoting Kuwait and investment opportunities, on 8th May, 2016, at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The seminar was held in partnership with the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Dubai, and was attended by Mr. Diab Farhan Al-Rashidi, Consul General of Kuwait in Dubai, and Mr. Ma Xuliang, Deputy Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai, among several Chinese businessmen who are interested in expanding their companies across the region.

Mr. Mohammed Yaqoub, Assistant Director General for Business Development, welcomed the attendees to the seminar and emphasized on the importance of Kuwaiti-Chinese relations and how the State of Kuwait seeks to develop those relations by attracting Chinese investments to the country. Sheikh Abdullah Al Sabah, Director of One Stop Shop Department, followed with a presentation explaining KDIPA’s services, highlights of Law No. 116 of 2013, lucrative investment opportunities, and incentives and exemptions offered to investors. Ms. Bibi Marafie, Licensing and Investment Registry Section, held one-to-one meetings with potential investors to answer any inquiries they had regarding investment licensing procedures.
