KDIPA signed a cooperation agreement with its counterpart SelectUSA during the second Kuwait-US Strategic Dialogue

Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the second Kuwait – US Strategic Dialogue that was headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and held at the capital Washington D.C on September 8, 2017 with the U.S. Secretary of Rex Tillerson heading the US side.

The strategic dialogue continues to strengthen bilateral relations and draw a road map of the strategic relations for the next 25 years in order to serve the aspirations of the two countries and their people towards a brighter future.

KDIPA was represented by its Director General, Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, and Mr. Musaed Al Matouq, International Agreements Section.

During this dialogue KDIPA Director General signed a cooperation agreement with its counterpart SelectUSA to strengthen direct investment ties and further cooperation between the two countries, by providing appropriate support to US and Kuwaiti investors through the facilitation of inward direct investment.

Kuwaiti delegation that took part in this dialogue included H.E. Khaled S. Sami Al Hamad, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs, H.E. Reem Al-Khaled, Assistant Foreign Minister for the Americas, H.E. Farouk Bastaki, Chairman & CEO for Kuwait Investment Authority, H.E. Dr. Hamed Al-Azemi, Undersecretary of Higher Education – Ministry of Higher Education,  Major General Khaled A. Al-Daiin, Assistant Secretary for Criminal Security – Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Muhammed Abdullah AlKandari, Assistant to Chief of Staff for Operations & Planning – Ministry of Defense.
