KDIPA signs MoU during 8th meeting of Kuwait-UK Joint Steering Group

Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the Eighth Meeting of the Kuwait-UK Joint Steering Group that took place during 25-26 May, 2016, in London, England. The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Ambassador Khaled Al-Jarallah, Deputy Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait, and Mr. Tobias Ellwood, UK Foreign Office Minister for the Middle East. KDIPA was represented by the Director General, Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, along with Ms. Awrad Al Kazemi, legal researcher – International Agreements Section. Both parties agreed on improving and enhancing bilateral relations covering energy, trade and investment, education, justice, healthcare, defense, migration and security, as well as increasing the volume of trade exchange and participation in international exhibitions. The ninth Joint Steering Group meeting will take place in sixth months’ time.
During KDIPA’s participation, the Director General signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kuwait British Business Centre (KBBC), represented by Mr. Martin Hall, CEO of KBBC, concerning support for the attraction of UK Direct Investment into the State of Kuwait. The MoU aims to develop bilateral relations and facilitate co-operation between both participants.
