Employees Development and Training for 2015/2016

KDIPA’s Development and Training Section announces the end of its training cycle for 2015 / 2016 and is pleased to proclaim that 62 training programs have been carried out during this training period, benefitting 133 KDIPA employees.

KDIPA employees were exposed to numerous key training programs such as the investment policy programs provided by the International Monetary Fund Middle East Center for Economics and Finance (CEF) that seeks to build capacity through hands-on training for policy makers from the Arab League countries, as well as to lead conferences, symposia and seminars geared at strengthening the design and implementation of sound economic policies in the region. The aim was to provide KDIPA employees with the needed tools and methods of analysis in order to deepen their knowledge and understanding of investment and promotion policy, thus enabling them to enrich their understanding on how to benefit from foreign direct investment.

KDIPA employees also had training provided by the Arab Planning Institute a non-profit regional organization whose primary mission is to advance the cause of economic and social development in Arab countries through training, research, consultancy, expert-group meetings, and publication. During this program participants from KDIPA learnt about the methods and systems used in software development and project evaluation, as well as definition of the economic and social dimensions and promote the application of tools and standards for the process of programs and projects.

Another key training program given to KDIPA Employees was organized by The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training that entailed preparation of feasibility studies for investment projects, which in turn provides them with the knowhow on ways to define and design the strategy framework for future programs. This program also showed them the different tools and ways to translate strategies into action plans, measurements balanced goals, and how to measure and calculate the cost of procedures and processes adding value to the organization in order to adapt to global changes.
