Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the Sixth Round of the People’s Republic of China-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Free Trade Agreement, held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during 28 February-2 March, 2016. This round of negotiation is the first official negotiation since the China-GCC FTA were halted six years ago, where the Chinese delegation was led by the Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce, Wang Shouwen, and the Chief Coordinator for GCC FTA negotiations and the Vice Minister of Finance of Saudi Arabia, Hamad Al Bazai, led the meeting, whereas KDIPA was represented by Ms. Awrad Al Kazemi, Legal Researcher. The delegations discussed several issues regarding investments and bilateral economic and technological cooperation, and aimed to reach a series of package agreements before the end of 2016.
