Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority participated in the 13th Arab Media Forum, themed “Media, Challenges and Elements” under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, and organized by the Central Agency for Information Technology during 1-2 May 2016 at the Regency Hotel, Kuwait.
The first day of the forum started off with sessions and discussions about social media in the society, with media personalities and artists present, followed by the opening ceremony with speeches from the Minister of Information, Sheikh Salman Homoud Al-Sabah, and the forum’s Secretary General Mr. Madi Al-Khamees. The second day’s sessions included discussions about media in politics and the development of technology, where KDIPA Director General, Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, discussed the role of media in economic development and investment, and talked about KDIPA’s establishment and services offered to investors. KDIPA also took part in the forum’s exhibition titled “Communication and Media Technology Exhibition” where the law and investment guides were presented at the booth.
