Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (KCCI) reception for a business delegation from the Republic of Cyprus, headed by the Minister of Finance, H.E. Mr. Harris Georgiades, and the Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cyprus, Mr. Marios Tsiakkis, on September 27, 2016. The Kuwaiti delegation, headed by Ms. Wafaa Al-Qatami, member of the Board of Directors of KCCI, welcomed the Cypriot delegation and expressed their gratitude for having this joint meeting.
KDIPA was represented by Mr. Mohammad Yaqoub, Assistant Director General for Business Development, who presented about the investment and economic climate in Kuwait and the investment opportunities available, as well as Law No. 116 of 2016 regarding the promotion of direct investment, showing them the procedures of issuing investment licenses and the transparency in granting incentives.
