Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the 12th Annual Meeting for Scholarships and Training Officials in the Arab World convened during the period December 20-21, 2016 by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development (ARADO) in its premises in Cairo, Egypt. The meeting titled “Governance in Training Process: Towards Effective Training effectiveness in the Government Institutions”.
Around 52 officials attended the meeting from 9 Arab countries. KDIPA was represented by Dr. Barjas Al-Hajri, Director of the Administrative Development & Training Department.
The participants discussed the importance of adopting governance in the complete training process starting from identifying training needs to evaluating its outcome. They have also discussed the need to develop specific mechanisms and regulations to manage the training process effectively. The meeting concluded with several recommendations, of which formulating an ad hoc team to develop a model for governance in training.
