KDIPA participated in the Kuwait Financial Technology (Fintech) Conference from 25-26 October, 2017. The conference was held under the sponsorship of the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) and the Shared Electronic Banking Services Company (K.S.C.C.), KNET Kuwait, in the presence of a number of officials, decision makers and interested members of the financial technology industry from the government and private sectors.
KDIPA was represented by Ms. Dana AlWazzan and Mr. Faisal Hajji from Public Relations department as well as Mrs. Shahad AlYagout and Ms. Sara Safar from the Investment Promotion section.
The two-day conference discussed several important topics, including financial innovation, electronic transactions, modern financial techniques and risk management. It also discussed the means of lending, financing, data protection and information security, as well as the technology of the Blockchain, virtual e-Currency (Bitcoin) and financial technology strategies in the Gulf and Arab countries.
