Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) attended the opening of Huawei Technologies Company Kuwait ICT Skill Competition 2018, 2nd edition, on October 3rd, 2018 at Huawei Center for Innovation and Training at Al-Hamra Tower.
The ceremony was attended by H.E Khalid Al-Roudhan, Minister of Trade and Industry Kuwait (MOCI), H.E. Wang Di, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China along with Mr. Abdullah Al-Jouan, Chairman and President of the National Fund for Small & Medium Enterprise Development (The SME Fund) and Mr. Trevor Lui, CEO of Huawei Technologies Kuwait.
Representing KDIPA was Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sabah, Assistant Director General for Investment Operation along with Mr. Mohammed Al Otaibi, head of IT.
During this ceremony the SME Fund signed a memorandum of understanding with Huawei Technology Company – Kuwait to promote and develop small and medium enterprises through ICT in Kuwait as part of the country’s vision until 2035.
