Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the second Kuwait Public Policy Centre (KPPC) Lecture Series for 2019/2020 titled “The Fourth Industrial Revolution and Agile Governance” given by Dr. Lan Xue, held on November 5, 2019 at the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (GSSCPD) headquarters. The speaker, Dr. Lan Xue is a Cheung Kong Chair Distinguished Professor and Dean of Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University. The lecture discussed the emergence of the 4th Industrial Revolution and focused on its opportunities and risks of and impact on society. The lecture illustrated the agile governance approach through a case study on China’s Artificial Intelligence principles.
KDIPA was represented by Mrs. Mona Salim Bseiso, and Ms. Fajer Faisal Al Mulaifi, from the Director General’s Office. Mr. Mohammad Dashti, Head of Studies and Statistics, Ms. Elaf Al-Shamlan, Mr. Abdul Latif Jamal and Mr. Halban Al-Halban, from the Planning and Competitiveness Department.
