Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in Kuwait Public Policy Centre (KPPC) Lecture Series titled “The Transformation from Smart Cities to Intelligent Communities” given by Dr. John Jung, the co-founder of the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) and originator of the Intelligent Communities Concept, held on January 28, 2020 at the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (GSSCPD) headquarters. Dr. Jung discussed the evolution strategies from Smart Cities into “Intelligent Communities”. He illustrated the importance of the talent creation, development of innovation ecosystems, digital equality, and empowerment of citizen-focused participation. He concluded by reflecting on implications of intelligent communities within Kuwait National vision 2035.
KDIPA was represented by Mrs. Mona Salim Bseiso, and Ms. Fajer Faisal Al Mulaifi, from the Director General’s Office, as well as Mr. Ali Al Khudari, Ms. Sheikha Al Hashem, and Ms. Dalal Al Rashed from the Planning and Strategy Department.
