Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) and the Delegation of the European Union to the State of Kuwait co-organized an Investment Forum titled “Enhancing EU-Kuwait Trade & Investment Opportunities”, at KDIPA’s headquarters on July 11, 2023, as part of the wider EU-GCC Economic Diversification Project.
Opening remarks were given by KDIPA Director General Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, followed by EU Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Mr. Gediminas Varanavicius.
Ms. Faye Al-Shuwayeb, Investor Services Section, gave a presentation on the business climate in Kuwait. Along with Eng. Farah Al-Ojairi, Technical Operations Section, who highlighted the economic aspects of Kuwait’s Al-Abdali economic zone. And Ms. Shaima Al-Ghunaim, Deputy Managing Director for Planning at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), unveiling KPC’s dynamic energy transition strategy.
Ambassadors and representatives from EU Member States in Kuwait attended the event.
In addition, Sheikh Abdullah Sabah Al-Sabah, Assistant Director General for Investment Operations, and Mr. Mohammed Yousef Mulla Yaqoub, Assistant Director-General for Business Development, had a collaborative discussion at the end of the forum.
