During the visit of His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to the People’s Republic of China, where bilateral discussions were held between the two states with H.E. President Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, where several Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) were signed, including the signing of a MOU between Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) with the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China in the field of free zones and economic zones. The MOU was signed on behalf of KDIPA, by H.E. Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and representing the Chinese side was the Minister of Commerce, Wang Wentao, on September 22, 2023.
