KDIPA cooperated with the Business Year (TBY) to organize the event “The Kuwait Innovation Forum” featuring the launch of the latest research on the local economy, The Business Year: Kuwait 2024, which was held in the Arraya Ballroom Kuwait on April the 23rd, 2024.
H.E. Dr. Anwar Ali Al-Mudhaf, Ministry of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs opened the event and gave a welcoming speech and presenting the attributes of Kuwait and the potential investment opportunities that contribute to support economic diversification, sustainability, and the role of the private sector in Kuwait.
The event consisted of two panels focusing on showcasing ‘Kuwait’s Development and innovation.’
The first panel focused on “Kuwait’s Development Landscape: Real Estate, Innovations, and Infrastructure”; the participating panelists included Mr. Mazen Hawwa, Vice-Chairman and Group CEO of URC, Dr. Ahmad Al-Shorbagy, Head of projects and international dispute resolution of Al-Yaqout & Al-Fouzan Legal Group, Mr. Nasser Al-Khreibut, DG for Planning and design of Public Authority For Housing Welfare (PAHW), and Mr. Abdullah Al-Saleh CEO of Sakan.
The second panel focused on “Digital Innovations: Pioneering Kuwait’s Future”; the panelists included Sheikh Ahmad Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) & Chairman of the Commercial Bank of Kuwait (CBK), Mr. David Rutter CEO of R3, Mr. Faisal Al-Haroun, Managing Director of Kuwait Tap Payments, Mr. Alex Krunic, Senior Consultant for Commercial Bank of Kuwait (CBK), and Mrs. Dalal Al-Rayes, Co-Founder & CEO of Spare.
In addition to a keynote speech addressed to the audience of the event by Mr. Waleed Al-Khashti Zain Kuwait Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer and Mr. Khaled Al-Shamlan, CEO of Kuwait Finance House (Kuwait).
