Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the 5th Kuwait Oil and Gas Show (KOGS 2026), titled “Shaping Tomorrow’s Energy” held under the patronage and in the presence of Prime Minister H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. KOGS 2026 brought together global industry leaders and innovators to advance dialogue on energy transition, technology, and sustainable development, was held from 3–5 February 2026, in Kuwait.
H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of KDIPA, moderated a strategic panel Session on the role of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), joined by representatives from companies licensed by KDIPA. The panel featured Mr. Joseph Anis, President & CEO of GE Verona’s Gas Power Business in Europe Middle East & Africa, Mr. Charles Hatami, Global Head of the Financial & Strategic Investors Group, Head of Middle East, and Co-Head of the Global Partners Office of BlackRock, and Mr. Naim Yazbeck, President of Microsoft Middle East & Africa.
The panel discussion highlighted key investment opportunities and growth prospects, with a focus on Kuwait’s Vision 2035 and the country’s commitment to advancing economic diversification. The speakers also shared their experiences in Kuwait, highlighting the significant progress the nation is making as it moves forward with its long‑term strategic objectives and strengthens its position as a dynamic investment destination.
