Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), in collaboration with The Business Year, co-hosted the second phase of the Thought Leadership Circle initiative under the theme “Unlocking Kuwait’s Market Potential” bringing together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to examine the evolving investment landscape in the State of Kuwait, the event was held at Al-Hamra Business Tower, June 10, 2026.
The session featured opening remarks from H.E. Abdulaziz Al Marzouq, Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment. KDIPA was represented by Mr. Mohammed Yousef Mulla Yaqoub, Assistant Director General for Business Development, who gave the welcoming speech.
Key speakers included Mr.Fawaz Bader Boresli, Head of Markets Sector, Capital Markets Authority; Mr. Ali H. Khalil, CEO of Markaz, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Khannah, Group CEO of Beyout Holding, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Sabah, Chairman of Al-Tijari, Mr. Nawaf Al-Gharabally, CEO of Zain, Abdulrahman Al-Kharafi, CEO of ZAD, Muhannad M. AlSane, CEO of AlMowazi, Abdullah Sulaiman Al-Haddad, CEO of KFH Capital, and Mr. Alex Krunic, Senior Advisor to the Chairman, Commercial Bank of Kuwait. The session included a high-level roundtable discussion and an interactive exchange among participants.
Discussions during the session focused on several key themes, including enhancing access to capital markets, supporting family businesses and wealth sustainability, strengthening fund management frameworks, expanding foreign investor participation, and leveraging public-private partnerships (PPPs) to drive economic development. These topics reflect KDIPA’s continued efforts to contribute to a more dynamic and competitive investment environment aligned with national development priorities.
