Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in a roundtable organized by Microsoft under the theme “Technology, Trust and Talent in the Age of AI,” on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in New York City, United States of America.
H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of KDIPA, emphasized that the State of Kuwait prioritizes investment in artificial intelligence and human capital development, in line with the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035. He also highlighted the importance of empowering youth and equipping them with the skills needed to keep pace with technological advancements.
The roundtable also addressed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between governments and the technology sector in harnessing AI to support economic growth, enhance public services, and strengthen competitiveness, while highlighting the importance of linking investment in digital infrastructure with skills development and institutional capacity building.
