Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of direct investment promotion with the Italian Trade Agency. On the occasion of the official visit of Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, and her accompanying delegation to the State of Kuwait, on 23 October 2026.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Kuwaiti side by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of KDIPA, and on behalf of the Italian side by Mr. Matteo Zoppas, President of the Italian Trade Agency.
The signing of the MoU reflects the commitment of the State of Kuwait and the Italian Republic to strengthening bilateral economic and investment relations and fostering cooperation. The MoU aims to promote cooperation and coordination in the field of direct investment through the exchange of information, expertise, and best practices, thereby supporting joint efforts and advancing the mutual interests of both friendly countries.
H.E. was accompanied by Ms. Reem AlShaya, Director of the Legal Affairs Department.
