H.H. the Amir’s Representative, H.H the Prime Minister meets members of the U.S Chamber of Commerce & CEO’s of U.S. companies

Representative of His Highness The Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah received members of the U.S Chamber of Commerce and CEO’s of U.S. companies in New York City on September 21, 2022.

KDIPA was assigned the task of organizing this meeting and was represented by its Director General, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Kuwait Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, H.E Undersecretary of His Highness the Prime Minister’s Diwan Sheikh Khaled Talal Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, H.E. Director of the Office of His Highness the Prime Minister Hamad Bader Al-Amer, H.E Board Member and Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority Ghanem Suleiman Al-Ghunaiman and H.E. Kuwait Ambassador to the United States Jasem Albudaiwi.

Topics discussed included the measures Kuwait is taking to help create an attractive commercial and investment environment and ways improve bilateral relations to enhance competitiveness and investment opportunities.

His Highness the Prime Minister pointed out that his meetings with representatives of the American companies came in implementation of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince’s directives to open prospects for constructive cooperation with American economic institutions and benefit from their experiences in various fields. He also affirmed Kuwait’s readiness to provide all means of support and facilitation for investors and to create a solid and developed investment environment.

For his part, KDIPA Director-General Sheikh Dr. Meshaal described His Highness the Prime Minister meetings with representatives of the American companies as positive and fruitful. He expected that these meetings would help attract new direct investment flows into Kuwait to achieve the objectives of the New Kuwait Vision 2035. He hailed the continuous cooperation between the KDIPA and other relevant government bodies to improve business environment in order to attract international companies with real added value and create direct job openings for national cadres in all fields and at all administrative levels.
