Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) cooperated with the Business Year (TBY) to organize the event “Kuwait New Era” featuring the launch of the latest research on the local economy, The Business Year: Kuwait 2025, which was held in the Four seasons Kuwait on May 21, 2025.
H.E. Khalifa Abdullah Al-Ajeel, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the State of Kuwait, opened the event and gave a keynote speech. Represented KDIPA at the event Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of KDIPA.
The event consisted of two panels, the first panel focused on ‘Strategic Sectors and Areas to Foster Investment’ the participating panelists included Mr. Faisal Sarkhou, Vice Chairman Union of Investment Companies & CEO, KAMCO Invest, Sheikh Ahmad Duij Jaber Al-Sabah, Chairman of Kuwait Commercial Bank, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Khannah, Group CEO of Beyout Investment Goup Holding, and Mr. Khalifah Al-Yaqout, Managing Partner of Al-Yaqout & Al-Fouzan Legal Group.
The second panel focused on ‘Sustainability as a Pillar of Economic Resilience’ the panelists included Mr. Rashed Al-Munae, CEO of United Beverage Company, H.E Anne Koistinen, Delegation of the European Union to the State of Kuwait, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Kharafi, CEO of Al-Adan Holding & Oula Steel.
KDIPA was also represented at the event by Mr. Ali Al-Khudhari, Director of Planning & Strategy Department, Mr. Bader Al-Jadi, Director of the Promotional Activities Department, Sheikha. Fatma Al-Sabah, Director of Public Relations & Media, Ms. Lulwa Al-Askar, Head of Public Relations Section, Mr. Talal Al-Qaoud, Head of Media & Social Media Section, Ms. Ruba Al-Sulaiti, Media & Social Media Section, Ms. Haya Al-Najjar, Communications Section, Ms. Rana Al-Omaim, Project Evaluation and Grants Section.
