Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in celebrating the 10-year anniversary of GE Vernova’s Kuwait Technology Center, held under the patronage and in the presence of Prime Minister H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, in addition to the attendance of H.E. Khalifa Al-Ajeel, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and H.E. Dr. Sabeeh Al-Mukhaizeem, Minister of Electricity, Water & Renewable Energy, KDIPA Director General, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Mr. Joseph Anis, President & CEO of GE Verona’s Gas Power Business in Europe Middle East & Africa, Mrs. Mariam Al-Rushaid, Director of GE Vernova’s Kuwait Technology Center WLL. The milestone highlights a decade of successful collaboration between KDIPA and GE Vernova in advancing national priorities for technological innovation, high-value investment attraction, and skills development in alignment with Kuwait Vision 2035. It was held on 25 November 2025.
Since its establishment in 2015, the 6,000-square-meter Kuwait Technology Center has served as a strategic platform for training, engineering, and tooling excellence. Operated by highly skilled Kuwaiti professionals, the facility has trained more than 1,500 engineers from around the world, enhanced knowledge transfer, and supported the development of advanced energy technologies tailored to Kuwait’s needs. Its specialized engineering capabilities include advanced controls simulation as well as the only gas turbine materials laboratory in Kuwait, further strengthening the country’s position in energy-sector innovation.
