Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) entered into a strategic partnership with Huawei Technologies Kuwait, to launch “Kuwait ICT Skill Competition 2017”. The competition is targeting university students and seeks to unearth and nurture Kuwait’s finest ICT talents. It will extend over the period from 26th September 2017, till 10th October 2017.
This partnership befalls in line with KDIPA’s mandate in attracting value added direct investments into Kuwait that bring about expected economic benefits including job creation and capacity building of national talents, as well as serving as a channel for transfer of various types of technology and knowhow, while supporting the local economy as a whole. Attaining such goals are intended to duly contribute to consolidate the national efforts for economic diversification, and fostering a more active role of the private sector in the economy.
The nationwide competition aims to encourage the development of the young leaders of tomorrow responsible for driving the country’s digital transformation and harnessing the rise of the creative industries for emanating new revenue streams.
Furthermore, it showcases Huawei’s commitment to build a better connected world in supporting Kuwait’s National Vision 2035 pillars by advancing the ongoing digitization strategy and innovation ecosystem to achieve sustainable growth and prosperity.
