Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the Technical Meeting of the Competent Services and Investments in the GCC, at the Secretariat General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf’s headquarters in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during 21-22 February, 2016. The meeting titled “Preparation for the sixth round of negotiations between the GCC and the People’s Republic of China” was aimed at reaching a free trade agreement between both parties. Ms. Amal Al Fassam, Head of Fatwa and Legal Opinion Division, represented KDIPA alongside other governmental sectors from the GCC. Chinese investments were discussed, as well as the findings of the previous round of services sectors texts, and the amendments of the related sectors listed in Kuwait commitments table in preparation for submission in the next round were presented.
