KDIPA participates in a workshop organized by KFAS

Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in a workshop organized by Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) on October 25th, 2017 at KFAS premises to present the outcome of a study entitled “Identifying Priority Sectors in Kuwait” prepared by Marmore Mena Intelligence, a research subsidiary of Kuwait Financial Center “Al-Markaz”. The workshop was opened with a welcoming note by Dr. Adnan Shihab-Eldin, Director General of KFAS, and attended by Mr. Manaf Al Hajeri, CEO for “Al-Markaz,” as well as several officials from concerned government entities, research institutions, and international organizations. The presentation was provided by delivered by Mr. M. R. Raghu, Managing Director of Marmore, who shed light on a list of priority sectors that should be focused on categorizing them into foundational, critical, and aspirational sectors assuming two scenario cases of no action and desired action. The outcome of the desired action scenario will contribute to make a greater contribution to Kuwait’s economic growth   and employment generation needs. The workshop was concluded with several questions pertaining to methodology, outcome, and upcoming roadmap.
