The Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the Bloomberg Tech Summit, organized by Bloomberg, which took place from October 20 to 21, 2025, in London, United Kingdom.
Representing the State of Kuwait at this summit was His Excellency the Minister of State for Communication Affairs, Mr. Omar Saud Al-Omar, who led the official delegation. Also in attendance were His Excellency Bader Abdullah AlMunayekh, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, and Mr. Saud Aldughaishem, Deputy Ambassador of the State of Kuwait.
The delegation included several key officials: Sheikh Abdullah Sabah Al-Sabah, Assistant Director General for Investment Operations at KDIPA; Dhari Adel Al-Huwail, Member of the Board of Directors of the Communications and Information Technology Authority (CITRA);
Bader Adel Al Khulaifi, Director of the Office of the Minister of the State for Communication Affairs, Nasser Saud Al-Azmi, Director of the Audit Department at the Central Agency for Information Technology; and Mishal Fahad Al-Zayedyed, Computer Engineer at the National Cyber Security Center.
The Kuwait delegation participated in various activities during the summit. These included an on-stage commercial spotlight, which highlighted Kuwait’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) market as one of the fastest growing in the region. The delegation also took part in a roundtable discussion on Artificial Intelligence in the Finance Function that targeted investors interested in discovering investment opportunities in Kuwait.
The Bloomberg Tech Summit brought together leading global figures and experts to discuss Europe’s pursuit of technological sovereignty. Key topics addressed included artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital resilience in the context of rapid technological advancements.
KDIPA’s involvement in the summit marked the first activation of its three-year partnership with Bloomberg Media.
KDIPA was also represented by Mr. Ali Al-Khudari, Director of the Planning & Strategy Department, and Mrs. Bashayer Al-Usaimi, Head of the Project Evaluation & Grants Section.
