Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the 36th GITEX Technology Week (GITEX 2016), held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on October 16-20, 2016.
The five-day event, took place at Dubai World Trade Centre, under the theme “Reimagining Realities”, redefined how technology can transform businesses through cutting-edge showcases.
KDIPA was part of the State of Kuwait’s government booth that included various Kuwaiti government bodies such as the Ministry of Finance, the Kuwait Credit Bank (KCB), and the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), and the Civil Service Commission (CSC) in addition to other entities.
Ms. Amna Al-Roomi, Ms. Mai Al-Refaie from KDIPA’s Promotional Activities Department, along with Mai Al-Terkait from KDIPA’s Center of Information Technology represented KDIPA at this exhibition in which they provided the necessary information on investment opportunities in Kuwait and answered the inquiries of participants who visited the State of Kuwait’s booth. Furthermore, a smart screen was also utilized to provide information about KDIPA; its incentives, exceptions and guarantees along with information on KDIPA’s Law No. 116 of 2013 to interested investors.
Over 100,000 visitors from 150 countries took part in this event along with 4,000 exhibiting companies, both global and regional, and 230 technology experts.
