Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) was part of the delegation of the Supervisory Committee for the implementation of the Framework Agreement for the Strategic Partnership between the Government of Kuwait and Google Cloud at the Google Public Sector Conference for the first time, On October 16, 2024, in Washington, D.C., USA.
The delegation was headed by H.E. Mr. Omar Saud Al-Omar, Minister of State for Communications, who emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to adopting advanced digital strategies to improve government services and enhance institutional performance, supporting the transition to a digital economy and achieving the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035.
KDIPA was represented by Sheikh Abdullah Sabah Al-Sabah, Assistant Director General for Investment Operations.
The Conference discussed how agency and industry experts are approaching the widening intersection of AI and security.
During the visit, the delegation also met with leaders from technology companies to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the fields of transitioning to a digital economy.
