Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the annual EY conference held on February 14, 2018 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Kuwait. The conference consisted of informative panel discussion sessions in which KDIPA representatives partook in.
The panel discussion session assisted by KDIPA representatives was hosted by Mr. Alok Chugh, EY Partner, covering issues on KDIPA mandate and role in attracting direct investment and promoting Kuwait as an investment hub including new designations to manage free zones, the commercial plots and the offset program; current efforts in coordinating national efforts for streamlining business environment; KDIPA facilitation model adopted in line with international principles; incentives offered; the excluded activities; the role of the one stop shop and relations with stakeholders to better serve investors; applications types and licensing procedures; introduction of online services, and KDIPA appraisal and tax credit mechanisms. The session concluded by inviting audience to participate in upcoming KDIPA flagship event “Kuwait Investment Forum KIF2018” under the patronage of H. H. the Emir.
