Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the introductory workshop on Preparing the “First National Report on the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, organized by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (SCPD) in cooperation with the Central Statistical Bureau at SCPD headquarters on November 9, 2017. The workshop started by introducing Agenda 2030 and it s17 SDGs, the 169 targets, and the 232 indicators under them. A presentation was given on SDG Goal No. 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure) and SDG Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption & Production), demonstrating how to tackle data related to these indicators primarily or as supporting sources. The workshop concluded with a presentation by the Central Statistical Bureau explaining the methodology it will follow and its role in overseeing the collection and validation of data and providing needed support.
