Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the Gateway Gulf Investor Forum – Bahrain 2018, which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Chairman of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, on May 8-10 in Manama, Bahrain.
The event was attended by high-level Kuwaiti officials including H.E. Dr. Nayef Falah AlHajraf, Minister of Finance, H.E. Khaled Nasser Al-Roudan, Minister of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Sheikh Azzam Mubarak AlSabah, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Mr. Farouk Bastaki, Managing Director of Kuwait Investment Authority.
KDIPA was represented by Mr. Mohammad Yousef Mulla Yaqoub, Assistant Director General for Business Development, Ms. Dana AlWazzan, PR Department, and Ms. Bashayer AlUsaimi, One Stop Shop Department. During this forum, a Kuwait investment climate update was hosted in which Ms. Bashayer AlUsaimi gave an informative presentation on the investment environment in Kuwait and the latest economic developments.
The Forum brought together over five hundred global investors and CEOs from a variety of sectors, including oil and gas, real estate, tourism, transport, and public works. The conference featured two streams; high-level plenary and panel discussions with some of the most influential leaders from government, global investors and multinational corporates, as well as investment sessions presenting specific, investment-ready projects and how to access these opportunities.
