KDIPA participates in the SelectUSA 2025 Investment Summit

Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the SelectUSA 2025 Investment Summit. The annual summit was attended by more than 5,000 people from over 70 international markets and economic development organizations. It was held on 11-14 of May 2025, in Washington, DC. 

KDIPA’s participation at this summit is in line with the signed cooperation agreement with SelectUSA to strengthen direct investment ties and further cooperation between the two countries, by providing appropriate support to US and Kuwaiti investors through the facilitation of inward direct investment.  

During the summit, KDIPA met with key U.S. officials including Mr. Thomas Bruns, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Middle East and Africa; Mr. James Golsen, Deputy Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service: Global Markets; and Mr. Hiro Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Advocacy Center: Global Markets. The meetings focused on enhancing bilateral investment cooperation and exploring opportunities for mutual engagement.  

Representing KDIPA during the summit was Mr. Mohammed Yousef Mulla Yaqoub, Assistant Director General for Business Development, Ms. Bashayer Al-Usaimi, Head of Project Evaluation & Grants Section, and Mr. Sulaiman Al-fadhli, from Media and Social Media Section.
