During the visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to the Republic of Türkiye, where bilateral discussions were held between the two states with H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan President of the Republic of Türkiye, where several Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Letter of Intent were signed, including the signing of a Letter of Intent between Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) with the Turkish General Authority for Free Zones in the Ministry of Trade in the field of free zones. The Letter of Intent was signed on behalf of KDIPA by Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investments & Chairman of the Board of Directors of KDIPA H.E. Dr. Anwar Ali Al-Mudhaf, in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on May 22, 2024.
