Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the official talks held by H.H the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah in Bayan Palace with H.E the Prime Minister of The Republic Korea Lee Nak-Yon.
During the talks, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation in various fields to serve interests for both countries, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The talks were attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H.E. Anas Khaled Al-Saleh, and H.E. Sheikha Etemad Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Undersecretary at H.H the Prime Minister Diwan, and Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Capital Governor, and H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, The Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority and the Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Mr. Bader Mohammad AlAwadhi and the Undersecretary for Petitions in the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and a number of officials in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
After the talks, the two sides signed several agreements and Memorandums of Understanding between the two countries, KDIPA signed two MOU’s which are:
First, a MOU between the Government of the State of Kuwait represented by Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority and the Government of the Republic of Korea represented by Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ), The Kuwaiti side was signed by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, The Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority and the Korean side by Hong Young Ji, Ambassador of The Republic of Korea to the State of Kuwait.
Second, an MOU on Investment Promotion between the government of Kuwait and the Government of the Republic of Korea. The Kuwaiti side was signed by H.E. Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, The Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority and the Korean side by signed by KOTRA’s Assistant Director Kim Sang Mook.
