KDIPA co-organized the “GEN AI Tech Talk Forum” in collaboration with Kuwait University and KDIPA licensed company Google Cloud, which was held in Sabah AlSalem University City on November 14, 2023.
The forum was kicked off with a fireside chat hosted by Mr. Thomas Kurian, Google Cloud CEO who visited the Middle East for the first time Ms. Shaymaa Al-Terkait, Kuwait’s Country Manager for Google Cloud moderated the session.
The forum was attended by STEM major Kuwait University students and professors, along with tech entrepreneurs and staff with a focus on Digital Transformation, aiming to learn the future benefits of Cloud Services and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
With the announcement of the intent to open a new cloud region and obtaining a country office investment license by Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), Google Cloud has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the nation’s digital future and bolstering its position as a regional hub for innovation. Furthermore, Google Cloud launched a national cyber skilling program in partnership with the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT), aiming to train 3,000 learners in AI and digital skills within its first year.
This is in line with the strategic partnership between the government of The State of Kuwait and Google Cloud to lead the digital transformation roadmap of all government entities.
