Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) took part in the “Kuwait – Mexico Business Forum” held in Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on January 20, 2016. The Chairman of KCCI Mr. Ali Thunayan Al-Ghanim and H.E. Dr. Yousef Al Ali Minister of Commerce & Industry and Chairman of the Board of KDIPA, welcomed H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto the President of United Mexican States and the accompanied delegation composed of high ranking Mexican officials (including ministers of Foreign Affairs, Energy, Economy, Communication & Transport, and Public Education), and representatives of Mexican business community. In his speech, H.E. the Mexican President reiterated the importance of enhancing Mexico and Kuwait bilateral relations to foster mutual interests as key players in their respective regions. A presentation on Mexico’s investment climate and opportunities was given, followed by a presentation provided by KDIPA’s Director General, Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. In his presentation, KDIPA’s Director General touched upon the milestones in the two countries relations, displaying Kuwait attributes as an investment location, showcasing potential investment opportunities, underlining favorable features of Law No. 116 of 2013, and highlighting KDIPA’s role in strengthening direct investment in Kuwait
