6- May- 2013 ,Kuwait Foreign Investment Bureau (KFIB) participated in the third edition of Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) and accompanied exhibition titled “A Future International Economic Landscape in the Making, Implications on FDI and the Economic Prospects of Frontier & Emerging Markets” held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President  and Prime Minister of the UAE,   and Ruler of Dubai. AIM  took place at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center during the period  30th April – 2nd May 2013.
H.E. Sultan Bin Saed Al Mansoury, Minister of Economy, spoke in the opening ceremony explaining the aim of the congress and the expected results in view of the tangible transactions concluded in the last two editions, pointing out that FDI has increasingly become a key driver of globalization. AIM continued to provide a networking platform with multiple channels of which the conference, an exhibition, high-level meeting, country presentations, one to one meetings, investment awards, capacity building workshops, and site visits.
More than 8000 people from 80 countries participated including heads of states, high ranking officials, international experts, and transnational corporations. Investment opportunities were showcased in the UAE and the same for other participating emerging and frontier markets.
KFIB participated in a booth in the accompanying exhibition where KFIB delegation received various visitors, distributed  promotional material and marketing kit, responded to inquires, highlighted sectors open for FDI, and cited incentives provided under current FDI Law No.8/2001 and KFIB services.
