17- Jan – 2013, Kuwait Foreign Investment Bureau (KFIB) organized an internal workshop on Thursday January 17, 2013, attended by KFIB Chief Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah and heads of sections, as well as KFIB IT Consultant. The workshop intended to discuss the initial prototype for establishing the electronic archiving system. The workshop was presented by the technical staff from contracted company INC Technologies to design and implement the system as well as to train KFIB staff on it.
This is considered a first step in the preparatory stage, which is part of two phased action plan, intended to assess the operational potential of the project, and enable the appropriate development and testing environments, which will eventually be transferred into the production server once the system is ready. This will be accompanied by an extensive training program for all staff at KFIB which will start at the beginning of March, 2013.
The e-archiving project aims at developing KFIB’s workflow infrastructure, which will duly speed up procedures, ensure quality of work, and enhance internal efficiency, a goal which KFIB aspires to attain.
