8 June, 2014: Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) has been awarded the Technical Innovation Prize for government websites in Kuwait presented by the Pan Arab E-Government Excellence Awards in its fifth session held in Dubai, UAE, on Tuesday June 3, 2014. KDIPA’s website succeeded to obtain Golden Rank with regard to the design layout of its website,  the security level, and the communications strategy with benefits provided to citizens and customers, and utilization of social media that enhances communication outreach. This award is organized by the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility and the Pan-Arab Excellence Awards Academy. KDIPA’s representative received the award in a festive celebration that honored all the winners besides Kuwait those from UAE. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt. More than 700 participants form Arab government entities participated in this award, and 35 winners were selected in various categories covering structural technical, Visual, Interactive, Design, and Strategic Innovation, interactive portals, and leadership in governance. The Judges Panel is composed of technical experts in the field who follow international practices in setting the selection criteria for these awards. This award aims to support Arab governments efforts to spread the utilization of digital means through the websites and social media channels to facilitate more interaction and communications with the public and enhance the service delivery, increase transparency, and establish a follow through systems.
