KDIPA and Google Cloud co-organized an event titled “Developer and Youth Forum” in collaboration with CAIT and CITRA, which was held in Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Center on May 25th, 2023. This is in line with the strategic partnership between the government of The State of Kuwait and Google Cloud.
Dr. Meshaal Al Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, KDIPA’s Director General, opened the event with a welcoming note to the audience.
The event was attended by university students and staff with a focus on Digital Transformation, aiming to learn the future benefits of Cloud Services and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The event consisted of an Alliance Brief, a Keynote address followed by a Q&A session and two presentations focusing on showcasing ‘What the future holds for Google Cloud in Kuwait and AI’.
The Alliance Brief focused on the working frame between the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) and Google Cloud; the participating speakers included Dr. Ammar Al Husaini, Acting Director General at CAIT, and Mr. Elie Tabchouri, Director of Business Development at Google Cloud.
Mr. Vint Cerf, Vice President at Google Cloud, gave a Keynote presentation titled “The Future of the Internet and AI”; which was followed by a Q&A session to shed light on future developments of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
A presentation titled ‘Kuwait’s National Skilling Initiative’ was given by Mr. Kevin Naddaf, Global Affairs & Public Policy Manager at Google Cloud, which was followed by a presentation titled” Generative AI” which was presented by Ms. Lara Suzuki, Technical Director at Google Cloud.
