Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) and “The Business Year” hosted the second event in the Thought Leadership Circle series titled “Empowering Energy Transformation” at Chairman’s Club in Kuwait on June 17, 2025.
The session was opened by His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), who delivered the keynote speech.
The main discussions focused on Kuwait’s strategic shift toward becoming a regional business hub through sustainable energy transformation. Key topics included achieving net-zero commitments by 2050, the integration of advanced technologies to optimize energy operations, and the significance of recent oil field discoveries such as Al-Nokhatha, Al-Julaiah, and North Wafra. Participants also explored the critical role of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in supporting Kuwait’s sustainability goals and the need for global partnerships to enhance knowledge exchange, accelerate innovation, and attract long-term investment aligned with the country’s energy and economic vision.
