Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) participated in the third session of the Joint Kuwaiti –Tunisian Committee meetings headed by H.E. Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, and by H.E. Aïeb Baccouche, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia, held on 11-13 December 2015 in Kuwait. Ms. Reem Al Shaya, Head of International Agreements Section, and Ms. Awrad Al Kazemi, Legal Researcher, represented KDIPA in the meeting. Both delegations discussed means of enhancing the bilateral relations and developing the cooperation in various fields. Of particular significance was the deliberations regarding means to enhance the investment Cooperation Protocol signed between the two countries in 2010, which entered into force on 30 November 2011. KDIPA delegate provided highlights of Law No. 116 of 2013, and responded to upcoming inquiries relating to KDIPA operations. The session ended with the signing of several memoranda of understandings as well as executive programs in various areas, and scheduled meeting to be hosted in Tunis next year.
