Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) provided 40 new employees with its newly special tailored two-week orientation program during 6-17 December 2015, that has been prepared in-house to provide a clear understanding of the different aspects of their roles within the organization and to facilitate the execution of their assigned tasks. The Orientation Program was opened by KDIPA’s Director General, Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, with a welcoming note addressed to the new employees, explaining the importance of the program to guarantee a smooth engagement with current staff and full understanding of the various roles KDIPA assumes and their crucial role within it. The various consecutive sessions covered matters of relevance including administrative issues, KDIPA’s organizational structure, staff rights, Law No. 116 of 2013, licensing procedures, investors’ services, branding of Kuwait, social media, investment promotion industry, and attributes that characterize Kuwait as an investment location. This is expected to be part of other upcoming capacity building initiatives that will cater to foster the capabilities of KDIPA’s employees, both new and existing, to provide the best performance. This is in line with KDIPA‘s aspirations to operate as a “Center of Excellence” within the government apparatus to ensure that its mandated developmental goals are achieved.
