May 8, 2014: Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) held a ceremony to honor the winner of the logo competition Mr. Anfal Veeran, and the Panel of Judges for KDIPA Logo Competition Mrs. Farida Al Sultan, Mr. Fareed Abdal and Mr. Qais Al Shatti, as well as Mr. Mohamed Mulla Yaqoub for his support. The ceremony took place on Monday May 5, 2015 at 12 noon at KDIPA premises. It was hosted by the Deputy Chairperson Mrs. Wafa Ahmed Al Qatami and KDIPA’s Director General. KDIPA has launched its logo competition to the general public end of last year. It had placed an advertisement in the local press as well as on its website detailing the required specifications and intellectual property rights, and allowed for a 3-week duration for making all the submissions through a dedicated e-mail. The Panel of Judges was formulated by three independent professional personalities from academia, communications, and arts fields. They collectively reviewed the 385 designs received and assessed them based on a set of artistic and objective criteria. The Panel selected a short list of 5 designs, which were presented to KDIPA’s Board of Directors in their last meeting, whereby the Board chose the winning logo design and KDIPA duly proceeded to undertake the necessary measures.
