24-Oct-2012, The Kuwait Foreign Investment Bureau (KFIB) represented by its Chief Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, signed a cooperation mechanism on October 14th, 2012 with the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (DHAMAN) represented by its Director General Mr. Fahad Rashid Al-Ibrahim. Under this mechanism, both parties will mutually benefit from concerted efforts to attract foreign direct investment into Kuwait, and introducing optional insurance services to interested investors against the non-commercial risks. It was agreed to exchange information on new available investment opportunities in Kuwait, approved investment projects through KFIB, promotional events, and relevant publications and newsletters, as well as website link exchange. DHAMAN, is a regional Arab organization established in Kuwait in 1975, and is the first entity on a global scale to provide for the optional purchase of non-commercial risk insurance for investments in the Arab countries against one or more of the risks pertaining to nationalization & expropriation, wars & civil unrest, transfer of capital & earnings, and breach of contract.
