Presenting PCK Activities in Streamlining Business Environment to H.H. Prime Minister at Weekly Meeting

Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Director General of Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), and Head of the Permanent Committee for Streamlining Business Environment & Enhancing Competitiveness in the State of Kuwait (PCK), accompanied by other PCK members, presented to H.H. the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, an overview of PCK activities since its inception and the resultant impact, indicating that the Prime Minister’s upfront concern and support emanating from H. H. the Emir directions, availed the main thrust to intensify PCK efforts to attain positive impact as manifested in sustaining  improvement trend in Kuwait’s position in international indices, especially the Ease of Doing Business Indicator, issued annually by the World Bank Group.  He showcased how such relentless reforms reflected favorably for citizens in terms of quality of government services rendered, in reducing costs, number of procedures, duration of various measures to start a business and throughout its life cycle. He clarified that this result was attained with ongoing cooperation among competent government entities, the private sector, and the civil society. Such efforts are conducive to stimulating investments, increasing the productive economic cycle, empowering the small and medium enterprises, nurturing entrepreneurship, and fostering innovation. He concluded by asserting the resolve to continue exerting all needed reforms in Kuwait’s business environment.
